Sebastian Dytrych

Sebastian Dytrych never saw engineering as a title, he saw it as a way of thinking. From a young age, he became obsessed with understanding how things worked not just in theory, but in practice: how something is designed, how it’s made, how it’s programmed to do something, and how it ends up being used once it leaves the workshop.

At Stevens Institute of Technology, he learned the analytical and systems side of mechanical engineering, but it was his time with the Plumier Foundation that gave him his real foundation. Working alongside master artisans and craftsmen, he was taught the art of precision, and realized that it’s not terribly difficult to make something function, but it takes a true engineer to make something beautiful, something capable of outliving its creator. Those lessons became the backbone of his design philosophy: that form, function, and discipline are inseparable when you’re building something meant to approach perfection.

He believes mastery begins within the ability to bridge disciplines, from code to cutter to component, and that adaptability, the ability to learn, adjust, and execute across any domain, defines the modern engineer.

Today, Sebastian’s work carries a single purpose: to bring engineering back to its former glory. He’s driven to restore the rigor, craftsmanship, and pride that once defined the field, to redefine what it means to be an engineer in a world that’s forgotten how things are made.
